Inspired by flowers, trees, water and the changing of the seasons, my work reveals joyfulness in the beauty of nature. Vivid color dominates my art and brings vibrancy to my subjects. I am an avid traveler and frequently work from the sights I see during my journeys. My work includes oil, watercolor, colored pencils, mixed media and acrylics.
Painting is my passion. In New York, I have studied at the Fine Arts Center of the 92nd Street Y. I have also traveled to Pinzolo, Italy and Florence, Italy to do watercolor. I recently returned from Ireland where I participated in an artist residency at the Ballenglen Arts Foundation in County Mayo. Each of these experiences has expanded my desire to be creative and to capture the beauty of nature.
My work has been selected on a regular basis to hang in the Juried Art Shows at the 92nd Street Y, the Vintage Artists Gallery Exhibits, the Blue Door Art Center and the Old Town Arts and Crafts Guild, on the North fork of Long Island. I am a member of the Riverdale Art Association and have participated in many of their shows. I have also had a solo exhibition at Gallery 18 in the Riverdale Y.
