Join us at the Blue Door Art Center for a New Years Pop Up Exhibition featuring sculptures and pots by ceramicist, Diane Falcone and large works by painter, Matthew Turov. January 6 - 8, 2022.
Turov’s beautiful and vibrant works shimmer with color and shapes. Hard edges and echoing patterns decorate the canvas. Escape on a journey in Turov’s imaginative world. "To summarize my intentions as an artist, I look at the many ways that nature-based and system-based forms can be made to interact within a field of colors which themselves contain sequences of varying degrees of predetermination or spontaneity."- Matt Turov
Diane Falcone has been a ceramicist for 20 years. Falcone started taking classes with Harriet Ross at the Westchester Art Workshop. Falcone's attention to detail, organic shapes and social commentary make her work unique. "I fell in love with throwing on the wheel and soon had a whole ceramic studio in the basement of my house, just like my dad did when I was a kid. More recently I have been exploring sculpting, my first love, and have begun to embrace my darker side. The skulls are the result of my continuing journey in ceramics” - Diane Falcone.
